| Re: Note to Manufacturers: No Swastika, No Sale! The German people apply the no Swazi rule, my German friends hate this symbol of the Nazis and do all they can to keep any sort of Nazism down where it belongs, in the gutter of history. After all, they have to live with the guilt. | |||||||||||||

Reason: typo
There are certainly some morons out their, but the PC [anti-Swazi on historical models] thought police will not silence them. The only casualty has been free speech, which must be eliminated for tyrants to thrive. If Swazis are eliminated, so must the Soviet red star. Stalin and his gang achieved at least a comparable level of evil as did Hitler and his. A similar argument can be made with regard to the rising sun.

| Re: Note to Manufacturers: No Swastika, No Sale!
Don't get me wrong I think that models should depict the subject matter as it was, ranging from alcohol/tobacco stickers on Formula 1 and race cars to swastikas on the aircraft. But I do have a problem with Neo-Nazis and, ironically liberal left, who think that it's (no matter what "it" is) all Jewish conspiracy. Regards, Sergey

| Re: Note to Manufacturers: No Swastika, No Sale! I'd be curious what the people who currently apply decals of their own will do once those decals are no longer allowed to be sold. | |||||||||||||

You know something we don't? In a pinch one could always make their own decals. If you waiting for properly marked aircraft, you will have a small collection.

| Re: Note to Manufacturers: No Swastika, No Sale!
I also collect models of racing cars in 1:18 scale and a couple of years back Minichamps attorneys were sending cease and desist letters to anyone who put a Minichamps model on eBay custom converted to a proper tobacco livery. For whatever reason Minichamps stopped, but Altria (i.e. Phillip Morris) lawyers monitor eBay and actually I know a couple of cases, where eBay ended auctions featuring Marlboro's own promotional materials from the past. The logic behind that auctions terminations was that this particular material was given to racing teams on "not for re-sale terms". The situation with swastika is different since nobody owns a trademark (yes, and me being a money hungry Jew is thinking about copyrighting it ), and laws are different in each country. Technically, eBay.de can easily pull "custom" jobs the way it did with Minichamps Formula 1 and MotoGP models. In the US, they are not terribly concerned with "toys", but Nazi books and other similar merchandise have been removed in the past.Regards, Sergey

| Re: Note to Manufacturers: No Swastika, No Sale! Whats your point? If they don't make them to meet your requirements, don't buy them. Others simply will add the decal and move on, your not going to start a revolution. And I've yet to hear anywhere that the production of historically correct Nazi aircraft markings will be banned and stopped. Your original point has been addressed, you are now mixing it with the fantasy that decals will no longer be available. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Note to Manufacturers: No Swastika, No Sale! If you choose to base your purchases on the omission of a swastika, that's your choice. I prefer decals. | |||||||||||||
