| Air to Air Baka I had heard of an air-to-air use of an Ohka ("Baka bomb") against B-29s at night before, but thought it was just a tall tale. Yesterday I ran into a guy at the 58th Bomb Wing reunion that crewed a B-29 that was attacked by one. Apparently, they had been warned about the possibility of it before hand, though the intel officer had said evasive action was relatively simple, given the Ohka's poor manueverability. This guy's tail gunner saw the rocket flame coming towards them, the pilot turned and the Ohka went by at wide margin and the tail gunner was able to visually track it into the ground. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Air to Air Baka Interesting. I'll bet that was a moment the first time the tailgunner saw that rising up towards him. | |||||||||||||
