What is a good place to get diecast cars?

Hey folks,
I was hoping someone couple point me in the direction of a good on line place to get diecast cars? I've got a friend of mine who wants to get diecast of his two cars and I honestly have NO IDEA of where to point him? Planes and tanks, I can direct him. Cars? Forget it.

His two cars are M6 convertible and Sunbeam Tiger (think first season of Get Smart). I have no idea what they are, or how hard they might be to get so any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks.

Anything for a weird life.

I'm a big 1:18 collector, and there are a few places online that I frequent. If the model is going to be popular, I usually get my stuff at Scale18.com. Dirt cheap shipping too. However, the sale prices at Scale18 suck. Replicarz.com is another reputable retailer with great sales a few times a year, but their regular prices are too high. The same goes for Ewa1.com but they have the largest selection of any dealer in North America. Designsinm.com is another great place, and their packaging is the best in the biz, but non-sale prices tend to be high. Gumballgt.com is run by collector from his basement so the selction is limited, but he packages models very well.

Never bough anything from House of Hobbies, but they carry model cars as well.

Regards,

Sergey

For the M6, the dealership would be a good place to start. As for the Tiger, no idea.

Is that a real Tiger or an alpine with a bigger engine?

Ooops!

Re: What is a good place to get diecast cars?

Hey folks,
Thanks for all the help.

I'll pass along the link to Eric. Prices are not really a concern for him, as long as he can find the cars.

Timbo,
I have no idea about his cars to be honest? Eric is a customer of our stores and a good friend. The owner here knows I do the diecast thing and asked where I got my stuff. One thing lead to another.....

Aircrafty,
Eric is not really a bidding kind of guy. He would rather see the price, pay it and be done. Waiting for bidding is not his style, but it was a good suggestion and one I asked about before I posted. Thanks.

Anybody else that has any firm ideas, please pass them along. Thanks!

Re: What is a good place to get diecast cars?

I owned a Sunbeam Tiger. It was the poor mans Cobra, also designed by Carroll Shelby. Sunbeam Alpine (similar size of a MGB) with a Ford 260 V8 engine. They were quite quick.

The only diecast Tiger I managed to find was a 1:64 scale Johnny Lightning.

Minichamps is a great manufacturer of diecast cars, do a search on them.

I think Maxwell Smart drove a Sunbeam Tiger for a while.
