Best Aircraft Manufacturer- Military

Just out of curiosity, which military aircraft manufacturer (fixed wing, rotor, or both) do you think has had the biggest impact on military aviation? I'm thinking overall body of work, not just best individual plane.

I would probably go with Grumman because of its long association with Naval aviation over several decades (as well as designing and manufacturing from scratch the Apollo Lunar Module- not military, I know, but still a nice piece of engineering).

What say you?

Gotta endorse the products of Lockheed Space and Missiles. Nuff said!

Thumbs up Re: Best Aircraft Manufacturer- Military

BOEING, if we go back to the Big War - WWII, the B-17, & B-29, did what no other aircraft had done up until that time. Two B-29's only had to drop 1 bomb each to win the war, and have a complete surrender from the Japanese. Just a Thought.

I would put forward the Hawker company even though it no longer exists.

Somehow Hawker always came up with the goods when it was needed.
It could be a long list, but these are worth a mention to prove my point, Hind, Hurricane, Fury, Hunter, Harrier.

Hey nobody have an opinion on Hawker, would somebody like to fly the flag for the Brits.
We were the best at aviation, sadly its all past tense now.

God Bless America.

What about the Skunk Works of Lockheed? Produced some WW II aircraft, and after WW II produced the U2 Spyplane, and, more recently, the Stealth fighter and bomber.
