Re: Movies and models and bouncing bombs!

Bink was quoted: 'It is possible that the engine of Richthofen's airplane was hit and perhaps he was as well. But in any event, we saw him climb out of the airplane alive! Several brown forms fell on him with drawn daggers and presumably stabbed him. They were British colonial troops, which were opposite us.'

Who the heck is Herman Bink? Seems to me this runs counter to many eyewitness accounts. Of course, if everyone was in on a cover-up.....

This is actually what Herman Bink looks like in real life....

Re: Movies and models and bouncing bombs!

Would be cool if Richard Todd had a cameo part in the new movie.

That is a real cool photo. When is that Dam Busters movie supposed to come out?

You're guess is as good as mine, Cruver. Last I heard, was Christmas of this year. Let's hope that it comes sooner !

Richard Todd isn't that tall, otherwise he might have made a good Harris ( but a bit too old to play the part ? ). Perhaps he'll turn up as a Whitehall Warrior ?

I really liked the old black and white flick, and really looking forward to see how the do with this new in color version.
