| Re: New Guy Welcome aboard Gbeck - try and watch out for a little (relatively harmless and benign) black 'Skunky' critter with white stripes as he's known to lead forum members astray - just ask Jim ... | |||||||||||||

| Hello Guys, No,I am not Glenn Beck, but Gary Beck. I am an ole gray headed former school teacher who taught for 32 yrs., that has always been an airplane nut. I have been collecting A/C for about 6 yrs, and started a web site as a dealer 2 yrs. ago. Being born around the onset of WWII I learned all of the A/C used during the war and started with that catagory as a collector. I am now at the point that if it has wings and flys I am interested in seeing it, and possibly having a good diecast model of whatever it may be. I like the armor stuff, but am basically an aircraft person! I got to fly a lot when I was young as my Dad was a pilot, along with three cousins who flew and had their own A/C. Spent four yrs in AFROTC to be a jet jock around the beginning of Vietnam period but had my military career cancelled by my wife after she gave birth to my first son. I was given the order 1 mo. before I was to start flight training and receive my comission that there was "No way in HELL I was going to leave her and a six weeks old son to fly a jet fighter." Pres. Kennedy had made the proclomation that, "if an individual had one dependent other than a spouse, they did not have to go into the military service." The end to my flying! That's a brief autobiography. OH by the way Mary Ann! GBeck | |||||||||||||
