|  New Guy Being a new guy in your Forum, I am trying to learn the terminology even in the profile setup. What is a Skype Name? I put in two or three, but all come back as invalid. There are a couple of names asked for but I can't seem to get any of them right. | |||||||||||||

| Re: New Guy Skype is like MSN, Yahoo, or AOL messenger but it's based on voice communication. I've used it with friends in Europe for making free international calls. Your Skype name is your handle for that system much in the way "gbeck" is for you here. If you had a Skype account you could enter the information in your profile here and and a Skype icon would appear beneath your name in your posts. Users could click on that icon to initialize one on one communication. It also a nice feature for those who would like to talk to one another but don't really feel like giving out their phone number. | |||||||||||||
