Re: Best Ju-87??

I've got 2 Corgi Stuka's - the Acroma JU-87 (what a wild, eye-popping scheme) and the Eastern Front version AA32503 - with the white camo applied over the green. Both are beautiful models that I would not sell off. And that coming from a carrier aviation guy says a lot.

I got the Franklin Mint Snake version for my oldest son for his Birthday one year. It's my favorite Stuka scheme.

I have Corgi's Acroma Stuka and Hobby Masters G-1. They're my favorites.

Re: Best Ju-87??

What about the model details? Corgi has released some popular schemes but how accurate is the acutal model compared to the others (and real life). From the pictures I have seem of Dragon and HM, they seem to have more defined panel lines and slightly better detail. Am I way off base? Any rivet counters out there to shed some light on this?

Are they all that good that it doesn't matter which manufacturer you pick?

Re: Best Ju-87??

earlier HM Stukas had an incorrect canopy configuration. Corgi's Stukas are all very well done IMHO but wish Corgi would leave the engine cover glued on. Dragons Stuka had very wobbly gear, and drooping loose fitting prop and nose cone. I was not impressed some of the details on the model were pretty good but HM's latest Stuka rocks. We won't talk about the Altaya Stuka....

Re: Best Ju-87??

Snake one arrived via Perry's, and I have to say I'm really impressed. This is one fine plane.

Re: Best Ju-87??

Anyone have opinions as to the accuracy of the FM 1/48 JU 87D-3 flown by Major Hans-Ulrich Rudel in the Summer of 1943?
