Think Allied

So, do you think that you can stump your fellow members? Try creating a Trivia Quiz. This is a new feature that allows you to create and take quizzes and grade your aviation, diecast, or historical prowess against your peers. The highest average score for the year (2007) will find diecast collection larger by one. Quizzes must be at least ten questions to qualify.

Re: Can you identify this aircraft?

Was this thing actually deployed, or was it a prototype?

I'm thinking French or Russian (the tail looks like a Sukhoi Su-9 or Su-11 Samolet LK), immediate post war. The trouble with the Su-9 or Su-11, of course, is that the canopy is too far forward.

Re: Can you identify this aircraft?

Early draft of the XP-80? Canopy and nose certainly look like the P-80.

Re: Can you identify this aircraft?

Well Gavin you got me on this one...
I checked everyone of America's jet fighters in the early days and not one of these showed up at least on the net anyways.
British wise there was one close to that but no cigar.
I'm thinking this was a prototype.
Now if i had the books i'm sure i could find the darn thing.

Re: Can you identify this aircraft?

I can't say if it was a prototype or concept, but I can tell you that it's British.

Re: Can you identify this aircraft?

How about a concept for a twin jet Spiteful? The tail and wing look very similar...

Re: Can you identify this aircraft?

I don't know what it is, but I wish Franklin Mint would make a 1:48 die-cast of it .
