Angry Question about Vendor Service ??

I know the last MH got into hot water when someone posted about an issue before they gave the vendor a heads up.

So my question is, I have had a really bad experience just this past 5 days with an online vendor that was recomended on the forum.

I have given them 5 days to take care of the 1st issue and another 6 hours to take care of another to which I have gotten zero help.

I thinkn it is good for other members to know when a customer is having a real issue with a Vendor and would not this forum be a good place to vent / let people know?

The issues in this case are both real and not some off the cuff picky stuff.

Re: Question about Vendor Service ??

Well, Flaps, I certainly would want to know about it, and it's perfectly OK with me to post about it, but I am only a "junior" member, so what do I know!

Re: Question about Vendor Service ??

Might have better luck getting an answer by putting this in the buyer/seller forum. What problem did you have with the vendor? (without giving their name until official approval)

Re: Question about Vendor Service ??

Just a word of caution. Comments/opinions made in the heat of the moment can sometimes disaffect a satisfactory resolution to a problem.
Although five days seems to be a long time to resolve a problem however, without knowing the full details or scale of the problem, it could also be deemed as still not to be unreasonable.
Perhaps your frustration has been exacerbated by the apparent second incident which is only 6 hours old?
Could I advise sleeping on it, evaluate the supplier’s response/willingness to resolve the problem(s), then commenting upon your experience with the as yet unnamed supplier?
Without prejudice Flaps, there is always two sides to a story and sometimes we don't appreciate the constraints that other people may have imposed upon them particularly when we may be angry/tired and/or frustrated.

Re: Question about Vendor Service ??

Forget it, I guess this forum is having issues as well.

I typed a well written account of the issues and of course after checking the spelling I got logged out and the message gone, maybe later tonight when I feel like typing it all in again I will

I appreciatte that this forum is here and fun to use and learn from but man some of the issues are a pain in the XXX.

Re: Question about Vendor Service ??

I agree with what you are saying, but this vendor has not responded in any way to the 1st issue and has had plenty of time, I can only assume they do not want to correct the 1st issue which was completely there fault and I am sure an error on there part.

I posted or tried to post more info, real nice and including much info without harming anyone, but during the spell checking the forum logged me out, so for now I will let it rest.

I will say I have dealt with The Mule, as well as MilitaryAirPower.com and even DiecastDirect on recent orders, none had any issues and all had much better shipping prices, good sales prices on some items and the shipments were packed much better than this one.

Re: Question about Vendor Service ??

I say post it. Part of the purpose of this forum is to help members in their acquisition of models. If a vendor is providing poor service, the forum membership should know about it.

The important thing here is to leave emotion out of the message - just the facts Friday.

In fact, I may be doing the same thing in a few short days...

Re: Question about Vendor Service ??

You are correct, we should help each other out, but even though I will never order from this place again and it was my 1st order with them, it may be an isolated case, maybe they do a great job for most orders.

They may be crazy busy, but in this case no response at all has lost them a customer for now and maybe forever and I gotta tell you, I purchase a descent amount of die-cast each month. I am single, almost 47 after a horrible end to a marriage and decided I am going to enjoy my hobbies, my dogs and eating. So this is how I spend my time and money. No more women for me, I can live without that nightmare.

Hi Flaps - I can sympathise with you, my marriage fell about horribly just after I turned 40. But don't write off women altogether - believe it or not, there are some good ones out there. I can promise you that - I met one - and she's absolutely the best thing that ever happened to me.

And it was her that introduced me to collecting diecast .
