Great Googly Moogly! 45 pounds to ship a lib!

Sheesh, saw a Straw Bitch on the bay for reasonable bid from the UK -- emailed seller for ship quote to California...... 45 pounds! Come on now, there's no way you're going to tell me that's close to actual cost. The search continues..........

Tell me about it. I got the Dambuster Lancaster that I wanted, but it was from Ebay in the U.K. I got it at a darn decent price, but the shipping cost nearly doubled what I paid for it. OUCH! I'll never do that again.

Would Fed Ex Air or UPS Air be cheaper to use the Royal Mail ?

Wow, $89.15 is absolutely absurd. This inspired my "What's the most economical method for shipping overseas?" post in the Shipping & Payment forum.

UPS kindly present goodies to customs and charge you a whooping fee for doing it ....so probably make it even more expensive!
