Re: Zeke with U.S. flag kill markings

I have the MB one as well.
I have only seen one zero with marking like that.
Do you know that the highest Japanese ace Hiroyoshi Nishizawa "The Devil of Rabaul"...150 claimed by newspapers after his death
147 he told his family
102 claimed by some other sources
86 he told Group Leader Okamoto shortly before his death
- he shot down one more plane after that and consequently
87 is the figure that is most accepted today

While many Chinese, and w/good reason, feel this way about the Japanese, your use of "Jap" implies a lack of historical understanding (this should not, in any way, be confused w/PC). Look beyond the A/C & see the history.

Re: Zeke with U.S. flag kill markings

Found this in an article about Japanese WW II aces:

As with the French and Italians, Japanese victories were officially counted for the air group, not for individuals.

Did any of the French or Italians ever have any victories?

I know the Russians had a LOT, including women fighter pilots.

There was at least one group of Frenchmen that flew with the Soviets who achieved numerous air victories and the Italians had a couple of aces who flew the Macchi's.
