F.W.190 raised from Sea....Norway

Today (1st Nov '06) the Norwegians raised a genuine J.G.5 - F.W.190 from the Sea, near Herdla/Hordaland, in Northern Norway.

Here are this morning's pictures of the recovery..........

Thanks Planebeach that's awesome! I wonder how many more of these treasures are sitting in the bottom of some lake or ocean

Re: F.W.190 raised from Sea....Norway

Only downside is that she'll be displayed in Northern Norway, a few years down the line, once she's been restored.

Good news, that the recovery went so well & that she's so intact.

Re: Fw-190 to be raised from the Sea

I put these two threads together since it was on the same subject of the FW190.

Re: Fw-190 to be raised from the Sea

It looks like they did a first class job on the recovery. I will love to see it once it is restored.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
