1/500 scale military

I have someone looking for 1/500 scale military vehicles, is there such a thing and where might he find them? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Surely this scale would only be suitable for ships? Military vehicles would be miniscule ...

My sentiments exactly but that is what he said he is looking for. Do they even make that scale for military vehicles?

Re: 1/500 scale military

I emailed the guy and told him to reconsider, a King Tiger would only be about 3/4 inch including the cannon, a Humvee smaller than a house fly. I hope to hear back from him with a correction in the scale. Maybe he added one too many zeroes and meant 1/50. I'll let you know.

Way back in the depths of my memory (what's left of it ) I remember about 30 years or so ago some company made these teeny tiny tanks that were about that size for war gaming. They were solid cast white metal. Don't remember the exact scale though.

Oh for sure! Only plus that would be is you can have more of them because they take up alot less place...nawww...not for me. Imagine trying to paint a 1/500 scale pilot? Would almost be like trying to paint a flea.

These are still around. The scale is 1/285. The pieces have an amazing amount of detail. I would suggest a google, yahoo or ebay search for "micro armor".

Good Luck!
