Next GeminiMac after the C-17s

We know that there are only a couple of more C-17s left for GeminiMacs to make (Dover, Canada, possibly NATO if they order some and the Edwards test bird). What line do you think GeminiMacs will make next? From a personal perspective. I think that GeminiMacs are the best comprehensive attempt at heavy aircraft. The quality is strong for their size and they seem to be pretty good about not overproducing the line or rereleasing models. Unfortunately, their line is painfully slow to expand. I'm hoping for the C-141 or the KC-135. I'm not quite sure if the demand would be there. So what are your thoughts? What would you like to see next?

Re: Next GeminiMac after the C-17s

I'd like to see the C-141. Considering that 2/3rds of MAC was C-141's, there should be a lot of former C-141 pilots out there who'd be interested in getting a diecast C-141. I think it would certainly be just as successfull as the C-17 line, maybe more so.

Re: Next GeminiMac after the C-17s

Not just former pilots, but everyone else who worked the plane. I was a crew chief on the 141 and would buy more than one.

There are probably hundreds if not thousands who would be interested. The plane was around for 40+ years.

Don't forget those of us who admired the 141 from the ground .....

It was THE workhorse of the USAF in my youth. (ah .. the good ol' days ... )

I would definitely all for a C141 release! Paticularly those in camo colors. I remember seeing C-141's at NAS Pt Mugu in the 80's.

NATO is also now firm for the C-17.

Re: Next GeminiMac after the C-17s

I'd by practically anything, as I love 1/400. A quality C-141 would be a nice choice, but they could sure get a lot of mileage out of a 707 airframe (KC-135, E3, E-8, JSTARS, Rivet Joint etc).

A C-141 would be nice. Another type that doesn't get much attention is the C-123. A little further out is the C-124 Globemaster. And even FURTHER out is the C-119 (maybe...C-82?). Modern types are hard to come by. (For foreign types, I'd love to see a Tu 104, bomber AND transport versions).

I like your thinking! Any of those would be a welcome addition to my 1/400 airlift fleet.
