Re: Received new Gemini Aces!

Hey there folks,
I've recieved the first three of these and my opinion is that they are fantastic. I'm sold on whatever they decide to do next. Let's just hope that they break some new ground instead of coming out with a Hurricane or FW-190. Nothing against them, but I don't need another company doing the same planes.

Celtic,
You are not the only person having the tailplane problem. Mine was already off the plane and neatly tucked into the side of the box before I opened it.

Despite the detached tailplane, I was so happy with these that I called the Mule to order the other six that are due out. The person I spoke to (Bill? Sorry, I was half listening to the ball game and the short term memory can only handle so much before lunch...) and he said the copy on their desk had the exact same problem.

Anyway, I've added a drop of Elmers White Glue and if that doesn't work I can return it to the Mule for a new one.

advice if you have IXOs coming with the Gemini birds

Okay so I had a couple new IXOs arrive at the same time as the Gemini birds, I opened the Gems first -- big mistake. Because then when I opened the IXOs, I was extremely underwhelmed. Ordinarily, I bet I would have been more than happy with the La-7, which is nice and all for an IXO. But one can't help but wish they'd up their game... I mean, I can barely see the gun recesses on the La-7, and then there's those painted on panel lines...

Open the IXOs first, then the Gems will look even nicer

I for one would love to see them do a Hurricane as well as a FW190 . They might even do a Soviet Hurricane and as for FW190s, there can never be too many .

Re: Received new Gemini Aces!

I'd like to see the new GA P-51 along side one of Dragon's D models, would be interesting to check out the comparison, maybe PappyB could do it for us?

Yes, agree, it'd be very interesting to compare these 2 models side by side...

I'm working on the Gem reviews now, I'll see what I can do -- it's time for an updated comparison -- too bad no one else has a 1:72 B model...

Can't wait to see them, thanks Pappy! Oh, and just found out my Gemini P-51 should be waiting for me on my doorstep when I get home...hmmm...I'm not feeling too good, maybe I should leave work early!
