Re: Received new Gemini Aces!

Should the JE-J spit have the maple leaf on, or was it removed by this time??

I found this type of antenna in several books, and have included some (rather poor) pictures from one of the pubs. My only question is, isn't the antenna a bit heavy-handed. Maybe one that wasn't quit so thick...

Still waiting for mine to arrive (tap, tap, tap).

There were 3 different antennas on a B/C model..

The antenna on the B model with the "birdcage" canopy should be a Thick, flat, bar style or a thin flat antenna as shown on Celtics pics, and the antenna on a Malcolm hood B should be a "whip" antenna..

Re: Received new Gemini Aces!

Here is my 3 i got today and i'm very happy with them.
Paint is ok with my P-51B.
I took these with a 100w studio light and not my flash from the Canon.

I used a Corgi stand for this Mustang because the other one didn't work very well. These Mustang pics were taken with the flash and the colors are the same in person.

Got my Mustang today

I love it, save the antenna and stand. I think this could become my favorite plane yet. Atleast until the other Mustangs come along. Still for some reason mine and its stand just don't get along. About time we got some Razorback Mustangs!!

Re: Received new Gemini Aces!

I think I would have to fashion my own antenna for the P-51.....That 3 inch steel pipe would be just a bit more of a distraction than I could handle...

Re: Received new Gemini Aces!

Aren't the antennaes on all 3 plane rather "hefty"? Maybe they're guaranteed against "breakage".
