Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

Unless these are going to be available stateside, I can't justify getting this one from the UK (even though I'd really like one). If you want it, it'll run you $67.93 in the US dollars.

Isn't the Flying Tigers located in the US of A? Something is badly wrong with that......

The website it's advertised on is from the UK and all prices are in pounds. I wish it was located here in the US.

It is a nice looking paint scheme, but shame not put out in the USA.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

I'm sorry, but this is the kind of stupid thing that Corgi would do. 550 of a popular model we've all been asking for for years.

And limited only to the UK when German planes are always the most popular.
Absolute !

I'll keep my Armour one just the same.

Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

Flying Tigers commissioned the 750 unit run of "Princess Elizabeth" and had to eBay the last of them. They adjusted the production on this one down to 550, of which they say 50 go to supporters and museums. Looks like they want to sell it out. The new Jumblies commission is also only 500 units.

Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

I'm not going to have any money by the end of the year if they keep on releasing these exclusives.

I want to pre-order one of these, but seeing as they want all the money up front (including shipping), I think I'll wait a little while to order it. I really wish they'd come out with a new casting though - and not just the Skyraider.

Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

Why are the UK retailers able to put together special commissions but US retailers can't or won't (with the exception of TFM)? I realize cost is an issue but if they bothered to pick a real good scheme, I think they would sell out. They would definitely be less expensive!

Can you say GA P-51B Old Crow or Lambie II or Inna the Macon Belle?
