Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

Why are the UK retailers able to put together special commissions but US retailers can't or won't (with the exception of TFM)? I realize cost is an issue but if they bothered to pick a real good scheme, I think they would sell out. They would definitely be less expensive!

Can you say GA P-51B Old Crow or Lambie II or Inna the Macon Belle?

I'd like to see any of the tulip nosed 109s in 1/72 (especially a Graf since Corgi pulled the plug on the 1/32 model).

You guys are spoiled rotten! Cheap models just for you, free postage and the like! Us poor blokes on the other side of the planet have to shell out for ALL our models. I'll be getting one or maybe two....

Spoiled Rotten except when postage is from the UK. I'd like one of these, but postage may be the deterent.

I hear you Harry. Postage is something that some of us have to live with. Ultimately it's still worth it otherwise we wouldn't be buying.

I'm hearin' ya ZS!! The thing that bugs me about Flying Tigers is their postage rates - this model is being produced in slightly higher numbers than Jumblies "Snoots" P-51 which is £5 less to buy and their postage to me here in NZ is £7 with only a £5 deposit. Flying Tigers want it all up front & will charge me £15 for postage

As much as I want this one I think i'll pass.

Take it out and play with it

Won't they charge you the actual postage when they dispatch? Lev did say that the box was a bit bigger and Royal Mail charges by volume. I'm looking to get something else to go with it.

Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

Yet again a great exclusive from the UK. I would love to have this model but I can't justify paying the price (model and POSTAGE). It also doesn't help the fact that the dollar is worthless these days. Oh well such is life......

Stwhite, another way to look at it: Since the dollar is "worthless," why would you mind getting rid of more of them to get something that is NOT worthless to you?

Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

I'm not going to have any money by the end of the year if they keep on releasing these exclusives.

I want to pre-order one of these, but seeing as they want all the money up front (including shipping), I think I'll wait a little while to order it. I really wish they'd come out with a new casting though - and not just the Skyraider.

Hey Milo, they won't charge your card until they have them in stock. I ordered mine, I have been waiting for this one for a long time!!!!!!

Re: New Flying Tigers Marseille "Yellow 14" Commission

Shame we can't get a US based commission model. Shipping pretty much makes the call on this one.
