I agree a bare metal version may have been cooler, but this still looks good -- and just 750...

Pete's Collectibles has them for $41.99. I'm waiting to see if I can find them for cheaper.

If anyone can find a good deal it's PARSIG........
I'll be getting one of these birds too.

I have wanted a die-cast of this P-51B which was used for testing at Rechlin; I just hope the production version does not ship with the blue-grey top side camouflage shown in this picture. This is what the plane should look like with a olive drab & yellow camo.

Yeah, I wonder if Parsig has any Yorkshire blood in him?

Hmmm, if that's what it's supposed to look like... the Gemini is a "bit off"

There has always been some debate as to whether this Mustang was OD or had been totally repainted using Luftwaffe colors in which the Gemini pic would be correct. For the Eagles Int'l custom I painted, I used OD as the German colors just looked too weird.
This Mustang was stripped to bare metal later in its career when the Luftwaffe was testing the aerodynamic differences between paint and BMF.

Re: NEW 1:72 GeminiACES May Release

There may be some obscure controversy over the paint on the P-51B tested at Rechlin but I think the clear preference is for olive drab. Most every reference I have seen of this plane shows it wearing Olive drab rather than blue-grey.

Other captured allied aircraft such as P-38‘s P-47’s, Mosquito’s, & B-24’s have been reported to wear Olive drab & yellow.

Not sure what fuselage color this one is sporting. I thought it was either OD or natural metal. Curious if anyone has an idea of what RLM color this one might be.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.
