Re: Bf 109F-4 III./JG 54 Russian Front Winter 1944

OK, is it just me or is the join where the rounded end pieces meet the wings kinda sloppy on GA's Bf-109Fs?

I've noticed this on several different models, and it's stopped me from buying them. Which is a shame, 'cause either than that they are great models. The GA Spits don't seem to have this problem.

The underside of the starboard wing could have been done just a little bit better, but overall not to bad. Kind of funny, because the issues with the GA Spitfire is pretty much what have kept me from picking up one of them.

No diecast is perfect, I picked up the first six GA models and wasn't completely satisfied coupled with no response from GA. Still I've picked up one or two since then and wasn't disappointed. I'll wait for the new molds for now though.

I am still debating picking up one more of their Bf 109s. I wonder if they have any new molds in the works.

Interestingly enough, when the 25 year old daughter ... (feigned interest to appease old dad) ...

Ah, yes. I know no one (in the flesh, not cyber-wise) who cares one whit about these models, the hobby, or my conversations about same. Either there's something wrong with me, or there is something wrong with them. Of course, the choice is obvious!
