Re: WW2 fighters frozen now?

I wouldn't worry about Gemini's 1/72 scale birds. Keep in mind that commercial airliners are their primary business and that diecast companies do not have infinite financial resources. Gemini is simply budgeting their business by temporarily tabling the first three toolings in order to release new toolings. After so many consecutive releases of the same three birds, demand decreases as collectors grow a bit tired of repaints of the same three planes. After the huge investment in those original three toolings, I'm quite certain Gemini will be producing more Spits, Mustangs and 109's in the future. The folks at Gemini are smart. They're not going to over extend themselves financially to dive into 1/72 with dozens of new toolings over a short period of time.

Great points, skidmarks!

I for one welcome the long breaks in-between releases so that my wallet doesn't get hammered with all the other upcoming releases from HM and CW etc.!

Re: WW2 fighters frozen now?

I just received today my first 2 GA mustangs (Ding Hao and Berlin Express). All i can say at the moment is that these ARE the Mustang series you must have when collecting 1/72. No compare to the Corgi ones (Own 2 by myself ). First i was a bit "unsure" about the models but now im really impressed. The only little thing that Gemini could fix is the aerial mast. Only a little touch and they could easily broken off as they are very tiny e.g. to the Me 109. I also ordered today 3 more GA Mustangs (Hun Hunter, Bald Eagle and Frankie) after seeing them. Really excited at the moment about this quality
Hopefully they will produce more P 51 B's. Would be really appreciated by me (Wishes a Bud Anderson mustang from Gemini).

We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives.

Well you had better get a Princess Elizabeth now while supplies last. Otherwise your GA Mustang collection will be incomplete. And your not the only one holding out for a Old Crow in red and yellow.
