No one else has made a Spey engined Phantom (on the first trials flights from the US carriers they melted the decks with the extra thrust),bigger intakes ,wider fuselage etc and unfortunatly probably no one else will.

Ah, so. Pardon my ignorance. Okay, then hopefully they will readjust the panel lines...and the canopy. Were Speys every used in US versions? I like the F-4, and just ordered the Blue Angels #1 from HM, and may get a Vietnam. On the other hand, I also love the dark grey/light grey RN camo, and might be talked into one of these GA versions (I often talk to myself).

(In '65 or '66 I was on an ammunition ship that supplied bombs and such to several carriers off Vietnam and at that time saw the dark green camo F-4 being flown. THAT F-4 could be a great special release.)

The UK was the only user of the Spey Phantoms ,a total of sixteen RAF and three FAA units used them .Schemes included Extra Dark Sea Grey /white FAA,Dk Green/Dk Sea Grey with full colour national markings RAF,Dk Green /Dk Sea Grey two colour national markings RAF, three tone grey low vis RAF plus numerous special schemes including the overall gloss black "Black Mike" from 111Sqn.Have a look here to see most of the schemes .
