Re: Latest word on the Phantom II

Cool insights and great pics Planejunky. Some really cool schemes available to be done. I really dig Phantoms but with Gemini and HM doing them and as yet no F4E/F/Gs I can see me having a serious funding problem.

Er yes, I think that bank robbery is looking like a disinct possibility!

Here's a few more I found. Black Mike of 111 Sqn, a 228 OCU machine, and a headon shot of the sharks mouth.

You boys aren't helping my cause! Cool shots there Planejunky! How much is enough? I think the problem with choosing a model is that there's always the next one!

Re: Latest word on the Phantom II

Well i did the same thing fly...I have one on pre-order as well from them...I was looking for the Franklin Mint one....But the FM has all decals and that's not very good....So i got the 1:72 GARNF-4K Royal Navy.

Re: Latest word on the Phantom II

The FM 1/48th FGR.2 made me laugh though. According to FM, the 56 (F) Sqn jet had an entirely Italian crew, which is funny cos I don't remember any Italians being with the squadron, let alone a complete crew! We did have a couple of Luftwaffe exchange officers though.

Roll on the Gemini version, along with a nice red tailed 56 Sqn jet, and a black tailed 74 Sqn FGR.2.

Re: Latest word on the Phantom II

So,

Is the RAF Phantom the only one that's exclusive to the UK market? Or is the RN Phantom exclusive to UK as well?

Just asking because if the RN Phantom will be available in the US, I would consider not pre-ordering it from the UK.

Thanks, Ed
