Corgi vs gemini p 51

Last edited by tank nut : 06-14-2007 at 01:54 AM. Reason: corgi vs gemini p 51
I was going to pick up the corgi warbird p51 on the weekend untill I seen that gemini makes one that looks the same it just blows away the corgi with detail. It has drop tanks on it where the corgi does not,but the corgi is not bad looking just I am hooked on the gemini by far.

Re: Corgi vs gemini p 47

The Gemini P-51B Mustangs are really great...Since their first release they have been making them better
with each new release.
Now when the Dragon P-51B coming at any day ...That just may give Gemini a run for the money..

Re: Corgi vs gemini p 51

If'n I remember correctly, the Poles never got the D model Mustang. Corgi was just trying to make a buck of the similar scheme.

Re: Corgi vs gemini p 51

If a Mustang is what you seek, your best bet is either Dragon or Gemini. Don't waste your money on the Corgi! Hopefully the new Corgi P51B molds will be decent.

Re: Corgi vs gemini p 51

Shawn, you are correct; the Polish units never operated this model.

The Gemini P-51B Mustangs are really great.

Yes, I agree! And they are cheaper and Corgi too!

Re: Corgi vs gemini p 51

Buy the Gemini, Tank Nut. It is full of good detail apart from the massive, simian pilot. Until the Dragons arrive Gemini P-51Bs rule the roost. The Dragons will have to be very good indeed IMHO!!

Re: Corgi vs gemini p 51

The colour of green paint used on this Mustang is the same used on the earlier Gemini Spitfires, which is to say it is more than a bit off what was used by the RAF. Very bright when sitting next to the proper drab in the collection, and along with the strange looking pilot one of the main detractors on what is otherwise a very nice model.

Re: Corgi vs gemini p 51

tank nut,
Stick with Gemini. Unless there is a particular scheme that you cannot live without, you should pass on the Corgi birds. If you are a rivet counter (no offence meant with the term.) then you will HATE the Corgi bird.

Anything for a weird life.
