One of my favorite Spits. Clipped wing with armament in "e" wing configuration (inner 50 cal and outer 20 mm).

Hello Tanknut, you have excellent taste. The Spitfire is just too beautiful for words.

Enjoy your collection of Spits and have lots of fun reading up on the history of them, fingers crossed we may see a nice Gryphon Spit one day soon.

BTW , the MK1X was a little later than the Battle of Britain although it was under development at the time as the MKV111.
Spitfire development is a bit confusing because of course the MKV came before that.

Even more confusing because they brought out even later versions while still developing the MKV111.

Its all interesting stuff so best of luck with your collecting.

God Bless America.

Re: My next spitfire

I happen to like the clipped wing Spit.. Regardless of the slight errors, it is a very nice plane and was my favorite until the Plagis came along..

Wink Re: My next spitfire

Another thing I love about spits is the fact that there are different colours and paint schemes to chose from, and that there are not just British pilots that used them. canadian, polish ,usa and other countries as well to collect to!!!
