I prefer the single seater as well, especially the one with the Bee on the tail. After that, an Air Force version in Nam cammo and a Navy one in blue overall. I'd only go for a two seater after these.

Well, planenutsfrog, I'd still take the US versions first (one each Air Force and Navy), but I wouldn't mind a French one as well. When I was kid growing up in France, I attended a couple of air shows at the Chateaudun air base where there were a few of these Spads, and they looked really cool (although at the time, I was more interested in the jets such as the Mirage III).

How about this A-1E? It was recovered from Burma about five years ago. It went there during the final days when everyone was fleeing Nam. I had the pleasure of getting an hour in it last year at our local airshow.
