Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

Well, we know that Gemini Aces have produced their first 3 molds in VERY popular (though rarer variants) of the 3 most popular planes in our collections (based on a previous poll). Also, since it is Gemini ACES - I would assume that they will produce planes that aces flew - so this poll is sticking with WWII fighters as options.

What do you think or wish Gemini Aces next new mold will be? (In reality this is 2 different poll questions.)

(Please feel free to expand on your choice in a reply.)

I would've prefered you've added a bullet for the de Havilland Mosquito as one of the choices above? If GA makes that I'd buy all the variants!

Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

Well, Since we know what Gemini's next 3 are going to be (Skyraider, Phantom, Early Spitfire) I will speculate that the ones after that could be Bf-109E (to go with Spitfire, BoB motif), Mig15, and (Late) Corsair variant (Late WWII, Korean war)

What I'd LIKE would a new 1:72 that's never been done before. I'm not, however, holding my breath.

Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

Well, Since we know what Gemini's next 3 are going to be (Skyraider, Phantom, Early Spitfire)...

Since i've recently just jumped on the Gemini aces band wagon - I'd missed that these were the next 3. Thanks. Are there approx. release dates for those?

The early Spit kind of surprises me. Would this be a whole new mold/tooling for Gemini or can they just modify the manufacturing process for their current Spit to turn it into an early model?

I'd like to see that too - I was just trying to stay consistent with the choices based on my perception of Gemini Aces - single engined; previously, widely manufactured models, etc. (Those choices also seemed to be the next teir of "most popular" models in Hangar member's collections from a previous poll.)

DADoser,
I don't know any dates, but the Early Spit (2 bladed prop) is supposed to be a new mold.. www.flying-tigers.co.uk had pics of the pre-pro stuff.

Smile Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

Given the choice of an early Spitfire a Me109E is probably on the cards. They did however surprise me with the second batch of choices. The first lot are 'commom' to a certain degree but they were variants we all wanted to see. I don't think going forward we are going to see much of the same, like Corsairs or Thunderbolts, maybe a Fw190D9. I think what they will do is try for subjects with broad appeal so I'd be very surprised to see Russian subjects although that's what I'd really like to see. A Yak 3 immediately springs to mind.

Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

I'd love to see some early P-40s with the smaller cowl opening, and early birdcage Corsairs. The Skyraider is awesome, but the early Spit and British Phantom wont get me excited. Unless the F-4s mold can done up in US markings, then I'd love a late Wild Weasel grey over light grey in 1/72nd.
So when do these start and the old ones stop? And I guess this means no more hope for a GA "Old Crow".
