Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

I have difficulty saying no to FW190s but I would also prefer a Soviet IL-2, one of the most mass produced combat aircraft of all time it deserves a place in the diecast sun (1/48 & 1/72 scale please).

The IL-2 keeps coming back in many threads with very regular frequency. Hopefully someone is reading all this.

I want one too (1/48 preferred, but if Gemini does a 1/72 I'll take it).

Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

It strikes me that no one has done a Fw 190A8 in 1/72 correctly yet... the most produced version of the fighter, and can be mod. easily by the manufacturer. a dora version would be nice too.

ps. the dragon attempt on it was just awful, ain't even buying.

Yes, an Fw190A8 would be very good. It would go well with both the Mustang B and the Spitfire IX.

Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

I would love to see more axis stuff , the Val , Kate , Oscar and Betty from Japan , the ME410 and ME163 from the luftwaffe . Soviet stuff would also be a nice option , it gets a bit boring with all the allied fighters being done by all the the manufacturers.

Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

Something other then P-51s, Spitfires, ME 109s, P-47s, Hurricanes, FW 190s, Zeros, P-40s, F6Fs and Corsairs. My quotas are filled. I will not buy any - promise. If someone had the balls to make a "Val" or "Judy" it would sell out.

Cool Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

Since GA seems to make mainly unusual variants of "best sellers", I believe their next mold could be one of these :

Bf 109D
P 47N
F4U5 / AU1
Tempest V
Spitfire MK IX/XVI "Bubbletop"
F 86D/K

Yeah baby! I'd definitely kill to have the Spitfire "bubbletop canopy" and an F-86D "Sabre Dog" (preferably with a "Dennis the Menace" noseart as first issue livery) made next!!!

Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

Like many of us I would like to see Gemini do great planes that have not been done to death already. Examples of these are Japan's "Oscar", Russia"s Yak- 9, Great Britain's "Tempest", etc. However, since their business model requires the selection of well known planes with numerous paint schemes, this leads us to the U.S. P-40E and Germany's FW-190 from the ones listed in the poll choices. If they really wanted to stand out from the crowd, however, while still sticking to their business requirements, I would suggest Russia's Mig-15, and IL-2M, Japan's "Val" or "Kate", and Great Britain"s "Beaufighter". The latter could be adapted to present almost the whole family of "Beaufighters" if the mold design was handled cleverly.

Re: Gemini ACES - New Mold speculation

I would like to see a plane not present in the line-up of the usual suspects.

Something soviet or Italian. Or a Japanese plane other than the Zero.
A Messerschmitt Bf 110 perhaps? And I did see the Beaufighter get mentioned earlier, I would approve of that one!
