| That 'stang is gonna be a must-have...
As for the 109 -- I just noticed this with my Gemini Galland 109, too -- doesn't the yellow on the cowl go too far back? My yellow-nosed corgi 109s, and Carousel 1 109s, stop the yellow right after the guns on the nose... Gem's yellow goes back much further?
I thought it (Gem Galland) looked fine until I put in a line display with the rest of my 109 armada... |
When compared with
Dragon, Carousel, EI and
HM models the paint on
GA diecast is in my opinion applied a little too 'thickly'/overdone, call it what you will ... some more finesse may come with time and experience as with the real 'Aces'

.
I like the 109 and just put in a pre-order for $26.99 today. It's a must have! Hope when it arrives though it is not like the last GA 109 (Galland) I got a month ago. Had a bent prop blade with a loose spinner. I think it crashed-landed in the box. |
There are too many QC problems reported on various GA Warbirds for them to be referred to as 'isolated'. GA make a well designed product with great potential in the 1/72 field but they need to be consistent with their quality even if it is 'mass produced'.
