Thanks a bunch, it's made this much easier to do. These pictures were taken in great haste and the quality suffered some for it. I usually use a tripod, but did these freehand and they're not as sharp. If I have a chance I'll reshoot this model.

| Re: GAUSA1004 USAAF Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX The Fed-Ex guy just dropped mine off. Wow, what a sexy bird. All I need now is the Corgi bird in US markings and I'll be done with Spitfires. - Shawn | |||||||||||||

| Re: GAUSA1004 USAAF Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX I'm with Shawn - what a great looking model! I'm expecting mine any day now and I can't wait. I also agree about getting more Spitfires. Got a Dragon Levine Spit and I did have the Corgi 4th FG Spitfire but I dumped it. The wings had no dihedral and the fit of the canopy to the fuselage was poor. Hopefully Gemini will release one in the blue/green colors with USAAF markings. I'd buy one as a keeper for sure. Don't really like Spitfires but this one just begged for me to buy it for some reason and who am I to refuse a beautiful model? ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Re: GAUSA1004 USAAF Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX Bummer on the Corgi bird. However I wont hold my breathe on another Gemini Spitfire in US markings. But it would be cool, didn't the US Navy get some? Were they under the star and bar insignia? - Shawn | |||||||||||||

| Re: GAUSA1004 USAAF Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX Once again great snaps Mark. For Spitfire 'nuts' like me this a very worthy addition. I have the Corgi American Spitfires but this puts them all in the shade. IMHO Gemini goes from strength to strength both in range and quality. Like HM they listen to their customers hence the improved 'Atkins plan' pilots. PWC, PWC. | |||||||||||||

I thought I was!!! I have two to stilll unpack. "Then that is it." But see what happens when I start browsing the site--and discover something I was not looking for? I have a pink Easy Model. I was looking for the blue PR item. And now this? Oh, I thought I was caught up.....And I now have two squadrons of Mustangs. Can Spitfires be next??
