Re: Next round Gemini Aces released!!!

Right, I'm aware of that one -- our Buddy Tram keeps asking about the Tulip nose though... so I thought I'd missed something in the thread or forum. Why they didn't do the Tulip nose is a head-scratcher. Hopefully, they'll get around to it.

I may be incorrect, but I'm pretty sure the tulip-nose was a G model 109. So the question should be, why hasn't Dragon done a tulip nose 109?

I believe you are correct Canucklehead. Didn't Dragon/Cyberhobby do one or was it a 190?

I love the Gemini 109 F - the "F" is the beauty in my opinion - but it would be nice to see more of the Luftwaffe aces such as Steinhoff, Rall, Trautloft, Krupinski, etc, etc with all of the 109s on the market.

There aren't many Dragon G models available and surely a red tulip, let alone black tulip, wouldn't go unnoticed.

I seem to remember from asking something similar about the tulip nose when this was releasd that Graf did not paint this on his planes till after the "F's" were long gone.

Ooops!

Re: Next round Gemini Aces released!!!

Stopped again in Burbank today before heading out of town. If anyone is interested, I compared the canopy of the Plagis Spit on display with a prior Spit (Gabreski) and they appear to be the same. Still looks purdy nice, though.

Okay, I'll ask ... what exactly is wrong with it? I've been so blown away by the overall detail in the GA spit mold I've been a bit blinded to the "gaffs" (other than the paint issue).

The cross bar at the top of the windscreen has not been painted on the previous releases..

Re: Next round Gemini Aces released!!!

I picked up the next 3 Gemini planes today and they are the best so far.. I did have a quality control issue with my Ferocious Frankie as it came apart when I pulled it from the box, but that was easily rectified with a drop of superglue.. All 3 are superior in finish and the landing gear on the Mustang went together without a hitch.. For those worried about the Spitfire colors, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as this is the best Spit yet..
