Re: Next round Gemini Aces released!!!

Just saw the new models in Burbank today. Unfortunately, all were sold out, except the display models so I could not bring a Spitfire home.

The P-51 and the 109 are very nice. The Spitfire is out of this world. I would not have thought it possible for Gemini to improve this model so soon but it is fantastic. Absolutely has to be seen in person to fully appreciate. The colors are definitely better, the markings amazingly crisp and the fit and finish, including cockpit clarity, darn near perfect.

More are on the way to the store I visited so I will get one next time. In the meantime, I had to be content with picking up the Corgi Photo Recon F-4 Lightning, but more on that in another thread.

What time were you there? I ordered about 3:00 over the phone and he didn't say anything about them being OOS.

When should the Red Tulip 109's be out?

There isn't a red tulip Graf 109 that I'm aware of -- did I miss something

I was there about 4:00 p.m. and there were still a few in the store in the process of being packed for shipping, so odds are one was yours.

Did they fix the canopy with the spitfire?

I am embarassed to say I did not even think about this. If I get a chance, I will go by tomorrow and check it out.

As shown in Old Crow's post it isn't a tulip nose... they must REALLY like yellow-nose schemes.

Right, I'm aware of that one -- our Buddy Tram keeps asking about the Tulip nose though... so I thought I'd missed something in the thread or forum. Why they didn't do the Tulip nose is a head-scratcher. Hopefully, they'll get around to it.

Good question, same could be said about either P-51B/C version of Old Crow. Hopefully, they'll get around to it.
