Re: USAAF Spit and Desert Me 109

I've got a shipping notification from The Flying Mule saying that both the Spit and the 109 are on the way. This will be my first Gemini Spitfire - I'm looking forward to seeing if the mould is as good as everyone says!

Re: USAAF Spit and Desert Me 109

I will look forward to reading what you all say about the gray Spit when you get them. I was looking forward to it when I first saw the pre-pro graphic (not the photo) of it which had a black cowling. Now it is too monochromatic for my taste.

However, the Neauman 109 is another thing entirely and will probably find a place in my collection.I have a couple of other Luftwaffe planes with the scheme and the blue is much less - vivid as shown in the Mule's pics. I hope that is only due to the photography as that looks a bit out of place IMHO. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: USAAF Spit and Desert Me 109

Man I was excited hoping for a desert spotted camo 109. Is it me or does it look as if the pilot was scaled too small? It was a little too large at first now this. The 109 by Gemini is still a superb model though. Guess I will wait...

Pre-ordered mine on ebay. Should be getting here soon. Can't wait!

HotTrap, you seem to be expanding the range of models that you intend collecting - it was bound to happen sooner or later ...

Re: USAAF Spit and Desert Me 109

I like both, but only have the 109 On pre-order....

How did Onmark only get the 109????? These were a shipped set and should've arrived together??

Yeah, I'd like to know the answer to that one too. I was the only one left in the office when the 109s came in and I phoned my boss in a panic when I didn't see the Spitfire, and was told what Gavin posted. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it until Monday.

You and the rest of the members are a VERY bad influence Cardinal. Ignorance was bliss until I joined up with you characters. Now I even like Stukas.

Stukas would have operated from the German carrier Graf Zepplin if she had been completed. So you could consider it an honorary carrier aircraft.

Shipping Confirmation too. The Neuman is on the way. I do like that tan and blue. Gemini 109s are the tops.

Re: USAAF Spit and Desert Me 109

Well, it looks like it was a goof up on our part. We got the part number wrong on our order. For those of you who may have placed your order with us. They're already in route and we'll be shipping early next week.

Sorry fellas

Re: USAAF Spit and Desert Me 109

Got mine last night. When taking the 109 out of the box I managed to remove the white wing tip .

No prob's I thought easy to fix as it detached at the join complete. Super glue and 5 min's later it's back on, but I now have a nice glue mark on the wing
