The thread title says "Quality Control" although it looks like modern really means "Accuracy." If you do want to talk about quality control, Gemini's is very good, but not perfect. I have nine Gemini models. Five (one Spitfire and four Bf-109's) have no manufacturing defects and all were produced just as the factory intended. They may have accuracy problems, such as the green color and windscreen frame on Spitfire, but no "quality control" issues. All four of my P-51Bs, however, have some flaw. Two have antenna masts with small but obvious kinks. One has a 20 degree toe-in on the right main wheel. And one had a main gear door miss-located which I had to pry off and re-glue in the proper position. I'm looking forward to the 'Buerling' Spitfire because Gemini has been improving the "Accuracy" of their models with each new edition. 'Buerling' has the correct green, the canopy frame is fixed and a mirror has been added. But I'll keep a close eye on the 'quality control.' I've already passed up one 'Buerling' because it had lump of something spoiling the paint finish just aft of the port wing radiator. ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Re: Quality Control Yes your right, I actually meant or should have said 'Accuracy' for the Thread title. I've been told its only the Spits that have backward propellers. Does anyone know though if the 'Buerling' model has this error as well? As for incorrect aerial positions, are the D-Day and Berlin Express Mustangs the only ones that have this? Actually what are the Aces models that are actually 'visually' accurate? | |||||||||||||

| Re: Quality Control Speaking again of quality control, on my new GARAF1007 Spitfire MkIX one of the holes in the wing for a pin on the extended landing gear option was not drilled. This was easily corrected with a small drill, but annoying non-the-less. Other than that, the model is superb. | |||||||||||||
