Gemini Aces Bf-109F-2 Galland

Along with my two Spitfires and one P-51B I got the Bf-109F-2 in the markings of Adolf Galland as based in Brest in April 1941. I almost passed on this one because I have a couple of Easy Model 109s but after seeing it I'm glad I got it.

Other than the pilot being a bit over-stuffed with French pastries I can't find much to fault on this model. Great paint job, great mould. Gear is one piece which is a huge benefit when dealing with the landing gear on a 109. The belly tank is optional and you can also show the model with the tank fitting but no tank.

OK- the antenna should probably be less pointy and more flat but it is in the right spot on the airframe. This is clearly better than my Easy Model 109s and from what I've read bests the Corgi 109s handily. And since I don't have any other Galland 109s this is a great addition to my collection. Now I'll have to resist buying the other Gemini ones.....

Nice pics!!!!

I got the same model and agree with you that it's a beauty. I love the airbrushed gray spots on the side. Pilot looks dumpy but I can live with it. The tires and wheels are so detailed - makes it look real! I usually don't collect German planes but I've fallen in love with this one. It's also so nice to have a German model with swazi's on it.

I love my Galland 109, and as far as the pointy antenna, I just snipped off the tip and it looks fine..

1250Ships,
I love the Gemini Galland bird. One of my favorites. Sitting here next to me in formation with my FOV Snake Stuka.

Beautiful aircraft. I have it flying beside my Paddy Finucane Spitfire and the Modelzone John A. Kent MkVb. They all would have met in battle over France in 1941 I'm sure.

Great pictures! Agree that the Galland is a beautiful model, but my special favorite is the GA 109F Russian Front. GA has done themselves proud with this mould!!
