Re: My first Gemini Aces - Me 109 Russian Front

If could only find bargains like that in the UK. I have that 109 on its way from the Mule. The shipping costs are dreadfull.

Try BadCat Aviation. They are selling the first batch (Bald Eagle, two 109s, RAF Mustang, BoB Spit) as "Clearance" items. I just went against my long held opposition to Bf109s and ordered the yellow nosed Galland 109f. Shipping isn't bad - under $8.00. Hope it lives up to the billing. Got 2 Mustangs from Gemini and love them both.

Re: My first Gemini Aces - Me 109 Russian Front

When I looked there earlier this week they just had the first 109 on sale. Now all of the first six. Makes it tough- do I pick these up, or some of the new Corgis, or the new Hobby Masters? Decisions, decisions!

OK- a few hours later and I pulled the trigger on four of the Gemini's. Just couldn't swallow the antenna on the first P-51B so passed on it. Also passed on the Russian Front 109 as that is really not my area and a single 109 is plenty for me.

It is interesting given all the buzz on these that they apparently didn't sell out of the 2000 units. I see them in stock everywhere.

Surprised you, shocked me. I thought they would sell out almost immediately. Could be that others are running up against the same wall I am, namely there are just too many offerings, prices are climbing, and there just isn't enough money to go around.

I'm having that problem. I want a Catalina, a Lysander, the floatplane Swordfish, the Hobby Master F-104, a couple of Hellcats, and that doesn't count what is coming up in the next few months.

However I'm a bargin shopper so I try to guess what will sell out and what won't and try to wait on the items that won't be moving. And if I see a great deal it is hard to pass it up.

I had a good look at Badcats place and the first thing I spotted was the nose art wall clocks, Sheesh now I want one of those, So which one looks most like her indoors and then I can say I bought it because it reminds me of you darling! What do you chaps think? Do you reckon I could get away with that one?????
OOps nearly forgot to mention that I have just unpacked the Me109 Russain front. I have not had time to give it a good coat of looking at yet.

Re: My first Gemini Aces - Me 109 Russian Front

Gotta agree with you there Jim. I don't see the 'war office' allowing me to hang them on the kitchen somehow! I was allowed hang a small print of a Spitfire on the landing out of public view. I have a den so I suppose it could be worse!

The Gemini Bf109 Russian front version is definitely one of my favourites - a good piece of diecast .

Dear Jim,

just get the clock which you like best, but make sure that the hair is approximately the same colour!

Bingo Celtic!!! When this line was first announced, I heard lots of "Order now because they won't last!" Now Bad Cat is selling them as clearance items - go figure.

Just got my Galland Bf 109 F three days after ordering it (talk about great customer service). WOW! What a beautiful model. I may have to get more 109s. Geeeezzzzzz! First you guys get me hooked on Stukas, then FW 190s and now 109s. What's a carrier aviation guy to do? Lucky for me I still hate Spitfires or else I'd really be in trouble.
