Why Johnnie Johnson

Hellooo!!! Is that I'm getting on the Johnnie Johnson question???

Thanks Jim.

As Jim said, he was the "best of the best". Top surviving RAF ace of WWII (ZS-VAN, your countryman "Pat" Pattle may have outscored him, but records for Greek ops are limited), top Allied ace of the European theatre with no less than 38 kills, highly decorated with CB, CBE, DSO and two Bars, DFC and Bar. He also wrote several books. I'd have to recommend both "Wing Commander" and "Full Circle", both easy to read and quite interesting.
If you google "Johnnie Johnson", you should get more than enough results to give you all the facts you need.

Hello, I'm the guy who sits next to you and reads the newspaper over your shoulder.
Wait -
Don't turn the page, I'm not finished.
Life is so uncertain.

Thanks Canucklhead. I was just about to do what you recommended when I remembered I had asked the question here.

I guess that settles it then! I'm placing my pre-order for the first three Gemini Aces. Looking at the next 6, they will all probably follow.

Re: Pictures of all Gemini Aces

I just ordered some from the next two release batches.

Maybe someone can help me. My credit card has started to make these strange sounds. Kinda like a death rattle. Anybody know how to give a credit card mouth-to-mouth resuscitation

Re: Pictures of all Gemini Aces

Glad someone woke me up. Last I looked the next six GA's weren't available.

Just ordered mine from TFM (did you notice the $3 price drop each from the October releases?).

planenuts--about your card: the recommended fix is a dip in cold water (the card, not yourself)...and don't leave it in your billfold until it cools down; otherwise, you could lose a large chunk of your posterior in the resulting explosion!

Me too! Good morning Parsig! Just POd the 2 latest German birds and the Polish B, also the Gladiator Corgi dio. That one hurt a little but I don't see it lasting long or going on sale.

Oh, who cares? We're all dead. I have so many POs right now I have to keep a separate Word Doc just to keep track.

Re: Pictures of all Gemini Aces

I always have to make stuff up to my wife when the diecast models come, like "Oh, this was on back order", or "we should go and visit your mom".

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
