The Lexington 'yellow wing' SBD-2 Dauntless for example has really grown on me and remains one of the few 1/72 models (like the silver Swordfish and some Dragons) that I have not packed away since moving my collecting focus to 1/48 and 1/32 scale aircraft.

(Also, as I mentioned in another post, my second batch of three Gemini Aces all had QC issues, with two of them suffering scratched/occluded canopies and the other one a painted shut wing flap .)

Well I took the plunge and ordered the midway SBD-2. Hope it's good

I'm sure you'll like it...I love mine, though I am not a "rivet counter" like some.
