New molds?

Anyone hear anything about some new molds for GA. It would be nice if they would make some other aircraft in 1/72. The Spit, P-51 and Bf-109 are great, but other than the Mustang being a B/C version we are being bombarded by all the makers with these models. Would be great if Gemini would make say Me-110, FW-190D, Hellcat/Wildcat, a P-38 anything other than the standard 3. They have broken into the 1/72 market solidly time to mix it up some I think.

Re: New molds?

We will eventually see new molds from Gemini, but I wouldn't expect to see anything new this coming year.. Gemini will need to recoup its investment in the first 3 molds and then we'll see new stuff..

The next planes I would like to see:

Me-110
Nakajima B5N (Kate) -or- (Val) divebomber
Typhoon/Tempest
Spitfire MkXIV (Griffon powered)
Bf-109G/K

Re: New molds?

Considering it's only been three months since the first GeminiAces release, and only five or six months since they were first announced, I would suspect we have a bit of a wait before any new moulds are announced. Your suggestions of plane types are good, but I don't think that's the direction Gemini will go. I think they'll play it more mainstream; Corsairs, Hurricanes, Fw 190s, maybe even different mark Spitfires, 109s, and Mustangs. With their high quality and low production numbers I don't think they worry about selling out.

Re: New molds?

Correction-the B/C and 109-F are new, I don't believe anyone else has done the F have they??? Anyway, I want them to do a ton of more B/C's and then see new molds, hopefully other spits that noone else has done yet, don't go chasing what has already been done Gemini!

Re: New molds?

Can't say that I'm bored yet with thier P-51B/C line, only wish I could get the Princess Elizabeth one. The only Spits I want are the Gabby verison (in the mail) and the grey one in US markings.
If they do go the way of the Corsair, I hope they do the birdcage version or an all black with red lettering Korean War night fighter. Other than those two, I'm full up on Corsairs.
Now some P-40s would be nice.

Re: New molds?

Folks, speaking of the ME-110, Hobby Master has announced one for later this year. At least that is covered for the near future.
