Re: New USAAF Spitfire

The ONLY setback on the previous issues is the color of the green on the camo.. The casting itself is the best ever offered for a Spitfire in 1/72, so the combination of correct color and correct casting should make this a definite keeper.. (IMHO)

Smile Re: New USAAF Spitfire

I only have one Spit in US colours so this one may be of interest. I'd wait to see how it looks in the flesh first though. It's always nice to add planes with different schemes from the norm to your collection.

Re: New USAAF Spitfire

I went to ebay and searched for Gemini Aces. Found a seller called JTs Collectables who has pictures of this Spitfire (yep, its a Mark IX and it's all gray) and the new desert Bf109F. Both of these models look really stunning. I've got to save up or sell some of my other stuff if I want them. The 109 looks really sharp and it seems to even have the tropical filter. Love the blue-tan combination with white wing tips and yellow nose.

These are pretty damn good looking models, I will probably get one of each for myself.

Agree. Looking forward to the Spit. The rest of my available dollars will go toward the new Corgi Typhoons...

Re: Gemini Aces USAAF Spitfire & Neumann 109

Great presentation Mark. That Spitfire is to die for! It will bring my total to 30 and nearly enough for a Wing. The ME-109F Trop looks superb and will join my original speckled 8 (Marseilles but not Marseilles it seems).

Re: Gemini Aces USAAF Spitfire & Neumann 109

It goes without saying that I will NEED that 109. If the Spit looks like the pre-pro pic I may need to reconsider. But if it looks like the graphic that we saw (with more color), then my credit card will be slapped down for that too!

Re: Gemini Aces USAAF Spitfire & Neumann 109

The good folks at GJ tell me that these are still the pre-pro pics. GJ rejected the lot on both runs. Anybody know what the problem was that caused them to send them back?
