Re: Gemini Jan Spitfire, any pics?

Oooh ... the desert 109 looks nice! I've been waiting for a picture of it to decide between it and one of the Dragon desert 109s. I won't panic yet. I'll need a better photo of the Gemini one to make a final decision. But I don't know how long the Dragon version I want will stay on sale at the Flying Mule. Oy!

New Releases - Spit & 109

The 109 looks great, but I have similar dragon version. With so many releases coming out and already out, I'll probably have to pass. Seems to be a reaccuring theme with the companys....same paint schemes.......

Re: New Releases - Spit & 109

I have been waiting for both to come out, and it appears that these are NOT since his description mentions these as a "pre-order"..

Suprised to hear you say that, Waltz41 !!!

I thought that particular Spitfire Mk.IX (Lt Ohr) looks VERY distinctive.

(I'm referring to the colour, rather than the markings).

And that's comin' from some-one really jaded, with regard to Spitfire's

I'd certainly buy it, if it becomes available over here.

No, that Spit is pretty cool, I was more mentioning about the 109....and the dragon release.

New USAAF Spitfire

I've seen a few early photos of Gemini's new USAAF Spitfire. It looks like a Mark IX painted in all gray markings. Not sure about the variant - Spitfires really aren't my thing. Has anyone seen pictures? Like I've said, I'm not a big Spitfire fan, but since I'm getting rid of my Corgi 4th F/S Spitfire, I want a better replacement. Any thoughts?

Re: New USAAF Spitfire

I have only seen prints of this one but am really looking forward to it. I only recently got my first GA Spitfire and the differences between it and those by Corgi are mind numbing. I have several Corgi Spits and they have really lost their shine in my collection. I am nothing of an expert on such things, but I think the livery is quite different and will stand out amongst the usual camo Spit offerings. That and the GA quality demonstrated by the most recent releases will make this model a keeper.

I guess I better start packing my Corgi Spits to make room.
