Careful dusting Gemini Spits & ME-109s

The wingtips on both aircraft are fragile because they are attached to wing by a slot and glued in. This to allow the flap to move. While dusting today I was left with a wing tip in my hand and a Spitfire on the ground. Damage was minor and repairable. It also happened with a ME-109.

Do not handle by the wing tips. The wing design on the P-51s is different.

Yep this seems to highlight the one letdown I've found with GA's - The glue they use is either not strong enough or use too sparingly.

Ooops!

When possible I grip the aircraft just behind the engine and ahead of the wing root(s). No crash and burns so far.
