Re: Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

jim, buying a P40? surely not!

while you are at it buy the cheap Graf 190, the cheap Typhoon and the Buchner 262 as well

the Typhoon's the best Warbird so far!

has Skunky ordered a Princess Elizabeth yet, or are you just going to tease him with photos of yours!

Hi Von hitchofen,

At £8.99 I think they are a bargain.

I think everybody will be teasing Skunky when this Mustang arrives. If its half as good as the Photos then it will be a beaut.
I wouldn't have bought another Stang but I just had to have this one.

BTW we must meet up and have tea n a bun soon.

God Bless America.

Re: Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

Am I right in thinking the Berlin Express and RAF D-Day Mustangs both have their aerials in the wrong position.Lev: When will Gemini finally make mirrors standard on their models like the one you commisioned?

Re: Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

LOL She just got paid today. And I have it on good authority that I'll get one, and it wasn't her. Though P.E. isn't at Duxford, knowing my grandfather was a member of the Museum makes this plane very special to me.

Thanks ! Funny thing is, he ( a Chemical NCO / Officer ) hated flying. I guess it was his way of honoring those who did and paid for it in the skies over Europe and the Pacific in WW2. So does anyone make a 1/72nd scale B-24 named Dugan?

Re: Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

Just wondering, when I pre-ordered PE the exchange rate for dollars to pounds was different then. If they go by todays rate it will be a higher cost than what was expected. Which cost do you think they'll go buy?

Hmmm, interesting question. I would guess whatever exchange rate the order was placed. After all, it was at that time which you made the commitment to purchase and it was logged in their database. I haven't ever pre-ordered under a different currency before but I suspect it is the same situation. The supplier/dealer cost didn't change the exchange rate did (and it is always in flux) which means if it dropped you wouldn't expect to pay less (at least I wouldn't).
