Guy's,

I am sorry about the delay, but the distributer has told me that the container ship will dock on Saturday 19th of May and by the time everything is processed and shipped out to me, it could be the following weekend.

Rest assured, we will try to get your models out as soon as possible. Hopefully, Princess ELIZABETH with be a hit on both sides of the pond!

Best wishes

Re: Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

Jim,
Which P-40 did you order. (Sorry to hijack the thread.)

Its a Corgi warbird model of the Kitty mk1V flown by Clive Tolhurst RAAF Corgi number WB99615.

When I saw the price of £8.99 I just had to have it.

Re: Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

Wasn't going to get this due to the terrible exchange rate at the moment - 13 pounds for shipping is a awful lot. But I succumed + ordered!

It helps having Parents in the UK

It does look great in those pictures.

Ooops!

Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

P40 I didnt have so that got added to my order. Well it looked really nice,,,,,,, really. They speak to me you know, I can hear them calling me. I must get back on the medication.

jim, buying a P40? surely not!

while you are at it buy the cheap Graf 190, the cheap Typhoon and the Buchner 262 as well

the Typhoon's the best Warbird so far!

has Skunky ordered a Princess Elizabeth yet, or are you just going to tease him with photos of yours!

Re: Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

Is it possible to catch a bug in cyberspace? I just cannot stop buying P-40s! They're running a close second to my serious Spitfire addiction. 'Typhoon McGoon' is the latest addition and it's all Jim's fault because I must have picked up the bug from him!

Re: Princess Elizabeth Commission!!!

Due to the side effects of my recent bout of 'Warhawkitis' I forget to welcome Lev to the forum. Looking forward to your insight and knowledge of the die cast trade. Hopefully turning suggestions into metal through your Gemini connections.

You have to admit Shamrock that its a great looking plane. Dare I suggest that you try a GMP version. They are just awesome.

I have lost count of how many P40 models I have. There are 14 on my desk in front of me but I must have that many in the loft awaitng my new display cabinet.

I am going to set up a display area for P40s only. I plan to print small cards with each planes history and one day I shall build a diorama of either a desert Kittyhawk revetment or an AVG set up Flying Tigers. That will have pride of place on the top shelf.

Heck I even bought the Easy model P40B because I wanted a Russian example, and the Stud will stand out just nice among the camo schemes.
I wish some one would do the P40M , and a bubble top P40Q (422 mph at 22,000 feet).oh and maybe a few Hmm ok one of every type and subtype plus a few more with Italian campaign and most definitely a few RUSSAIN examples. Its funny that Corgi have not done one of those!

Never forget that when the first P40 was built it was a state of the art aircraft and quite revolutionary for its time, plus the much criticised Allison engine gave out the almost unheard of 1000hp.

Anyway Shamrock just sit back admire and enjoy your tough versatile little P40s and think of huge (and unsung ) contribution they and their pilots made to the war effort in nearly all theaters in those grim days.

God Bless America.
