Question Galland's Bf 109F-2

I've just started putting swastikas on the many liveries that now come through without one on the rudder. I wanted to check for the proper placement on a 109 so I looked at my latest Gemini acquisition, the Galland. I was in for an unpleasant surprise. The swastikas on either side of the rudder look as though they were cut off a sheet of printed insignias and then glued on. All the other decals look fine, as do all of the decals on the first Gemini Bf 109F "Yellow 5."
Anyone else encountered this problem?
I thought about applying some Micro Flat, but I doubt that it will help.

Re: Galland's Bf 109F-2

The swastika decal issue is something that really annoys me, too. Sure has to do with the legal restrictions in some countries, so instead of making some planes with printed swasties and some without, they just apply them as decals (crudely, without the slightest trace of skill, sometimes).
Maybe we can make a secret agreement with the manufacturers to hide the decals in a certain place in the packaging so we can apply them ourselves AND won't have any trouble with the legal restrictions

Mine look perfect, too -- look to be pad-printed, not decals. I was under the belief that Gemini didn't use any decals?

Pappy B, I often use the terms decals and pad-printed interchangably, something I should definitely not do. That being said, the swastika on the rudder of my Gemini Galland look like an after thought paste-on. Neither decal nor pad-printed.

Re: Galland's Bf 109F-2

I have Galland's 109 on order; I'll check the tail swastikas when it arrives and report back here.

Best,
Ted

Re: Galland's Bf 109F-2

All this talk about the swasi got me worried, but to my relief the swasis look and feel like they were painted on rather than any kind of decals.

Re: Galland's Bf 109F-2

I just received mine in the mail, and the tail swasis and all other markings look good, whew. May go and get that other 109 now, the one with the funky white/green camouflage...
