Re: What P-51B Schemes For Gemini would you like?

I've never seen the actual Cripes P-51 B I have been on the 352nd FG website and for the most part they say that there aren't any photos out there of Preddy's first Cripes??????????? All I have to say is that I would love to see Princess Elizabeth, Lambie II or any Bluenoser. Heck any ETO Mustangs would Rock!!! I'm not that keen on PTO or CBI B/C's, but I know I just love those ETO ones!!!!! I hope Gemini keeps the one a month thing going on the Mustang B/C for a long azz time! Maybe enough to fill a couple of different fighter groups!???

I have a few photo's of Preddy's"Cripes A Mighty" Mustang but i'm not at liberty to post them due to a book that may be coming out soon that will have these pictures in it.
But yes they have very rare pictures of the P-51B.

I have a book that I received from Punchy Powell called, "The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney". I feel very fortunate to have gotten one of these as he said they were a very short run. I'll have to take a look into that book to see if the Cripes B is in there.

Bob Powell is a nice guy and great fight pilot too..
I also have the book your talking about(signed by Bob also) and it's a must have for any WWII buff.
But like you said only a few were made and most went to the members of the 352nd or their familys & friends.
But once in a great while you will see one pop up on the bay.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to sell a book like that??? Especially for how rare they are to be had??? I do have to say that my favorite FG is probably the Blue Nosers, I do like all of them, it's just something about them I like a tish more.

Funny enough, the 352nd Blue-Noser's old air-base, has always has seemed under-represented to me, with it's lovely little memorial stuck where it is, on the edge of the 'Stanta' military training ground & the Breckland forest.

Glad to see you mention the other guys, Starman - but everytime I drive past there, (down the A.1065), I always inevitably think of Preddy - not just because of the timing & the way he met his fate, BUT of the impact that he had on the local community & their children, whom he would entertain at local parties & fundraising events at that time (as it's a relatively sparsely-populated bit of Norfolk) & not an awful lot happens there.......

Re: What P-51B Schemes For Gemini would you like?

I'd like a US version with the Malcom hood for starters. But here is my wish list:
1. Old Crow with full invasion stripes in OD overall
2. A Blue nose as mentioned in Silver
3. Shangri La
4. A OD / Silver cloud cammo one like the 375th FS, 361st FG had
5. Tuskegee bird
