Re: Pics: Princess Elizabeth

Was this model available in the USA or only available through Flying Tigers? Is it a specially commissioned model?

It was commissioned for Flying Tigers and they still have a few left on their web site...

I sure hope so.....There are so many other pilots of the 352nd that they can make.

Re: Pics: Princess Elizabeth

I think Gemini really missed the boat by not making a Bluenoser special edition in the markings of one of the pilots at the Gathering on Mustangs and Legends in Ohio. There were so many people there and so much buying of souvenirs I think they easily could have sold hundreds.

Heck wasn't Princess Elizabeth there -- they could have just done some special packaging and done a "show exclusive" with that one... ?? You're right Card-o.

I wish GA would do more BBofB (Blue Bastards of Bodney) 352nd FG Mustangs, and would like to add the following fighter pilots who flew these:

P-51D "Slender, Tender & Tall" by Maj. William Halton

P-51D "Moonbeam McSWINE" by Capt. William Whisner

P-51B "Hell-Er-Bust" by 1st Lt. Edwin Heller

P-51B "Cripes A 'Mighty" by Maj. George Preddy

P-51B "Frances B TOO" w/invasion stripes by Capt. Ralph Hamilton

Re: Pics: Princess Elizabeth

Though we have more selction than ever, it seems diecast makers still don't get it right all that much. How many of us could name 20 planes that, if made, would sell like crazy? New molds, sure, but I'm talking T-bolts, Mustangs, Spits, 109s......

Especially T-bolts and 109s. The whole world of diecast makers is missing the boat! 21st C. makes better livery choices.

Missing the GML opportunity is just a great example of them not being in tune with collectors. Gear down only is another gaff.

Not that Hobby Master is pefect, but at least they ask. Others could do well to try that approach.
