Andrew, flyXwire, PappyB thanks for the information!

Starman, I may have to drop you a line if I can't find it at The Flying Tiger.

Thanks again guys.

No problems. I'd get one myself if it didn't cost a bomb for it AND the shipping. The total price for me would be enough for nearly 2 birds

Re: Pics: Princess Elizabeth

It's not toooo bad - I normally end up paying about NZ$53 on average for my GA's from Flying Mule. Princess cost me NZ$79 from Flying Tigers, so about a third extra. But I have to say she was worth the extra - beautiful! And she looks great next to "Frankie".

(All prices inclussive of shipping by airmail).

Re: Pics: Princess Elizabeth

Fabulous - Can't wait to get mine - have to wait till October when my good old mum will be visting and hand delivering it.

Alomost didn't get it cos of the shipping charges - though that made the cost a little steep, so I got them to ship it to my folks in the Uk and paid the VAT.

Ooops!

Re: Pics: Princess Elizabeth

I ordered one up yesterday from the Flying Tigers. With only 750 worldwide, I thought they would be sold out by now.

It would have been if the shipping prices etc weren't so steep.

What a beautiful model. I am also very tempted in purchasing one but the shipping price is holding me back ouch.

Keep'em flying.

It's less expensive than The Kent Spitfire. Princess is 32.65 Pounds delivered to the USA while Kent is 37.99 Pounds delivered here. Currently one Pound is about $2. Overseas shipping is expensive unless you go slow boat and are willing to wait 3 months. I think both are worth it. I get a really nice model while helping keep the real plane flying.

Re: Pics: Princess Elizabeth

‘Princess Elizabeth' # 648 of 750 arrived last week. Came by Royal Mail. Flying Tigers had it nicely encased in bubble wrap inside the shipping box. An excellent model.

I wonder about the model number. If the orders are filled in numerical sequence (which many forum members do not think is the case) I'm surprised there are still 100 left for sale. Yes, yes I know. They grab it off the shelf randomly when they ship it out. The number doesn't mean a thing. But still.

Re: Pics: Princess Elizabeth

Was this model available in the USA or only available through Flying Tigers? Is it a specially commissioned model?
