Re: P-51B - stand - antenna

I finally got around to putting the model together and everything went well until I got to the stand. Too loose and I was forced to break out the Elmer's. Other than this minor glitch, this issue is a 9.5 out of ten. Over the weekend I intend to do a "BIG EYE" comparison between the Gemini release and the three Dragons I have. A quick scan says the Dragons look very competitive. Tomorrow I'll assemble the Spit and the Bf 109 from Gemini.

Re: P-51B - stand - antenna

I am hoping Gemini will look at your example because I am only waiting for the baseball bat antenna problem to be fixed and then I too will take the Gemini plunge. I really like the looks of thier molds. You did a really great job with your masking and color choice. It is hard to believe anyone is good enough to do work like that at such a small scale.

Just read a post from Leviathan on the UK forum saying that the antenna problem has been rectified.

Re: P-51B - stand - antenna

Glad to hear Gemini is fixing the antenna, any word on the "chubby" pilots?

Leviathan did say in his post that the antenna fix was one of a few things that will be corrected for the next batch.
Maybe the obese pilots will be among the corrections.

Re: P-51B - stand - antenna

Of the three new Gemini releases I have, only the P-51B has an antenna that's stubby and out of scale. The other two, the Spit and the Bf-109, have antennas so sharp they could probably draw blood. The three Gemini releases I have are outstanding and I can hardly wait to pick up the next six they release. Some of you guys need to get a life; they are only models after all.

True they are "just models", but what's wrong with pointing out a few minor "errors" and having a company like Gemini listen, then fix the error, the changes will just make their fine aircraft even better!
